Studio Europe is a prototype of a platform bringing together design studios of different European universities. This platform aims to facilitate and encourage exchange between students, teachers, guests and interested parties.

In 2020, Studio Europe was imagined to connect different chairs at ETH Zurich who are all dealing with architecture, urban design, territories and transformation and who worked with their students on case studies in various parts of Southeast Europe (see the archive).

The idea was born under the circumstances in response to  the sudden start of the COVID-19 pandemic in spring 2020, which on the one hand forced the switch to digital alternatives to share spaces and collective moments, and on the other hand created new possibilities for cooperating and moving closer together. It aimed to outlive the pandemic and slowly became a platform where past and future studios can be presented, discussed and connected to other design and research projects.
